Trading Places

For Menselyk Bedryf. Van werkplaats tot eeuwigheid (Trading Places: At Work Immortalised) photographer Karin Broekhuijsen portrayed forty contemporary professions in surprising perspectives. Jan Luyken’s 17th-century verses were adapted by Dutch man-of-letters Bert Jurling into modern idiom. And all this augmented with an array of interesting information about the life and work of Jan Luyken assembled by Nel Klaversma, curator of old and rare books at Amsterdam Museum.
