By train: The museum is a fifteen-minute walk from Amsterdam's Central Station, via Damrak, Dam Square and Kalverstraat.
By tram: Trams 1, 2 and 5 (stop at Spui); Trams 4, 9, 14, 16, 24 and 25 (stop at Rokin).

By car: From the A10 (Ringweg), follow the signs to Centrum and the S100. Follow the P signs to car parks in the city centre. The nearest underground parking facility is De Kolk at Nieuwezijds Kolk. Also within walking distance is the underground car park at Stadhuis/Muziektheater. A bay for coaches is located on Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal.
