Some fans travel the world to watch their club or their country play. Like modern-day pilgrims, groundhoppers visit as many stadiums as they can. Amazing, exorbitantly expensive stadiums are built around the world. Yet the old venue in the old neighbourhood still feels more like sacred ground. Yet stadiums are also rife with anarchy, as the testosterone reverberates across the stands and supporters curse and swear.
