Screen printing involves pushing the ink through. It is pressed through the pattern in the mesh stretched on the frame using a squeegee (a rubber scraper). The areas to remain blank are blocked off. There are different ways to create the stencil in the mesh, here a photographic technique was used. The print can be made on paper, fabric or on any type of base.
