I went on the Women’s March in Amsterdam to support women's rights. I have two daughters. I’m worried for them and their future. But I also marched for equality between men and women and for nonviolence.
This was my first march since I took part in the big demonstration in New York against the Iraq war in 2002. I didn’t wear a pussy hat. I find it trivialises the protest, but I accept it. I love the inventiveness, wit and creativity of the signs made by people for the marches. I hope the movement can continue and that it will be broad-based and inclusive.
