Jaap Evert Abrahamse, senior researcher of the History of Urbanism at the Netherlands Cultural Heritage Agency will speak about the history of building the canal area and in particular the chosen materials. What is the history behind the variety in plaster, wood, stone or paint that has been used to build the canal houses?

After the lecture we will watch the first results of the project. Both makers and residents can ask questions and share their experiences.
