Greg Kent was born in Philly in 1949 with an Afro-American background. He had to join the army as a sharpshooter in Vietnam, but eventually got to stay in the United States, because of his heart condition.

He decided to become a fashion and beauty photographer and he went to all the big shows or did catalogue photography all over the world, from Miami to Milan and from Paris to London.

In Amsterdam he asked me, his white partner, to deliver his portfolio book with magazines like Essence, Elle and Marie Claire to future clients like VNU. I delivered it, he waited in the car and so he got the jobs.

Of course he wanted to tell you this incredible difficult story himself, but sadly he died two years ago to a severe heart condition.
